PLOT
Wren Calloway has designed some of the most breathtaking spaces in the Pacific Northwest, but she has never learned how to feel at home inside any of them. When she arrives at Cascade Ridge Lodge for her college roommate's winter wedding, the plan is simple: smile, survive the toasts, and catch the first flight home before anyone notices she is a little too good at performing fine.
Then the storm hits. The mountain road closes. And the only person who seems unimpressed by her polished composure is the groom's cousin, Cole Merritt, who lives alone in the woods by choice, wears silence like a second skin, and looks at her like he can see directly through the version of herself she has spent years perfecting.
Cole does not do sentiment. He does not do weddings, he does not do crowds, and he absolutely does not do complicated women who ask too many questions about why he left his career in Seattle to fix other people's servers from a mountain cabin. But he is trapped here. And so is she. And the lodge's heating system just failed.
Seventy-two hours. One storm. Two people who are better at walls than windows. What gets left behind when the snow finally melts?
